Inside Sales Representative

Directworks is seeking an aggressive Inside Sales representative to help our software company rapidly grow our customer base.  Your role will be to engage prospects through direct outreach via phone and email, and then manage a process to bring leads into a qualified status for appointments with our outside Sales team. 

Success in this position will require you to be highly capable in key areas:
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills, especially introductory conversations and cold-calling to executive-level targets
  • High energy with a relentless enthusiasm for prospecting and establishing new relationships

Position Responsibilities:
  • Make cold calls to defined lead lists
  • Follow up warm leads identified through marketing efforts
  • Identify new leads through research and use of marketing tools (LinkedIn, Pardot,, etc)
  • Contact leads through email and phone to qualify and set appointments
  • Maintain all activity in
  • Develop standard communication templates as needed
  • Profile qualified leads and hand off to Sales Director in a consistent and organized manner
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales as needed to continuously improve the lead qualification process
  • Attend conferences to represent Directworks as needed

  • Relevant work experience in an Inside Sales capacity

Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of Strategic Sourcing SaaS multi-tenant platform.  The Senior Software Engineer will architect platform modules in support of Strategic Sourcing capabilities being mindful of usability, scalability and performance.   This person will mentor other software engineers and help to set standards and guidelines for best in class coding practices.
Position Responsibilities:  

  • Subject matter expert - Technical expert for designated technical areas such as programming languages, operating systems, databases and/or packaged systems.
  • Leads Implementation efforts - Work with cross-functional team members to recommend technical solutions to business issues and/or system issues. Make technical recommendations for more efficient troubleshooting and issue resolutions.
  • Acts as code reviewer for other application developers’ output to enforce accepted programming standards and techniques.  Provides assistance and routine consultation to internal business users of applications.
  • Works with Technical Lead, Product Management and Quality Assurance representative to estimate new system issue resolution or package implementation efforts.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees. 
Position Qualifications & Skills:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science,  Software Engineering, IS, IT or related field required
  • 7 – 10 years professional experience preferred
  • 8+ years of experience developing commercial grade applications with large scale deployments.
  • Strong experience in current software engineering and solution delivery methodologies.
  • C# and C++ programming languages with deep understanding of OO programming concepts
  • ASP .Net MVC
  • Modern Javascript libraries such as Backbone and JQuery
  • Knowledge of REST API Design preferred
  • Knowledge of code testing methodologies (test driven development or behavior driven development) preferred

Software Test Engineer (Automation/Performance)

This position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of automated functional and load testing scripts to be executed against our enterprise web based application.  The ideal candidate will have a software development background with extensive experience in automation and performance testing.   The candidate will work within a cross functional agile team and be an integral part of the software development process by developing and implementing the automation and performance testing strategies and collaborating with stakeholders as new features are developed to build a robust regression suite.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement automation test strategies, plans and framework.
  • Develop and maintain repeatable tests for use in a continuous integration process.
  • Work closely with the functional testers and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria to provide sufficient automated test coverage.
  • Collaborate with development to insure application testability, escalate, troubleshoot and report issues.
  • Gathering and interpreting performance test requirements.
  • Create detailed performance test plans.
  • Design, develop and execute load tests to evaluate system performance for existing and new features.
  • Work with IT and Development to analyze and resolve performance related issues.
  • Provide detailed reports and metrics on the application performance to stakeholders.
Position Qualifications:
  • BS degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience required.
  • 4+ years of automation and performance testing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining automated software testing processes for browser based applications.
  • Proficient with object oriented programming, C# coding or similar language.
  • Proficient with Java Script, or similar scripting language.
  • Demonstrated experience with mainstream software test automation tools / frameworks and continuous integration.
  • Demonstrated experience in load test scenario development and execution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio and its testing capabilities.
  • Outstanding people and communications skills and the ability to work within a team both with engineers and non-technical professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and persistence in completing tasks on time.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
