Sales Director - Greater Detroit Area

Directworks is seeking an experienced and proven Sales Director with a winning track record in the SaaS space to join our team and play a key role in our next phase of growth.  Directworks provides enterprise SaaS solutions that enable manufacturers to select the best supply partners and maximize the value of their supplier relationships. We are a vertical SaaS business focused exclusively on product manufacturers and we have recently launched our next generation sourcing and supplier value management platform into the market. We are on the verge of rapid growth and are looking for an outstanding performer to support our sales efforts. 

Position responsibilities:
  • Executing strategies and sales processes to build a growing pipeline of qualified opportunities and converting those opportunities into paying customers
  • Identifying and developing new target accounts
  • Establishing and maintaining strong executive-level relationships through credibility and demonstrated expertise
  • Developing and delivering compelling sales presentations
  • Effectively understanding and communicating supply chain business challenges, especially those related to sourcing and supplier value management
  • Demonstrating advanced knowledge of enterprise SaaS technology and the application of technology to improve customer business performance
  • Navigating multiple levels and functional areas of prospect organizations to build the commitment required to close deals
  • Developing compelling business cases with prospects
  • Attaining assigned sales quotas
  • Developing collaborative relationships with other business functions to secure support for sales activities
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records in
  • Travel: 25% -50% based on activity

  • Must have 5+ years of sales experience in a technology organization: enterprise software and SaaS solutions is strongly preferred
  • Manufacturing industry and sourcing and supply chain application sales experience is also strongly preferred
  • A disciplined self-starter who can achieve results with minimal direction
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess expertise in strategic selling strategies and methodologies
  • Documented history of achieving or exceeding sales quotas
  • Expertise working with enabling sales technology (
  • Ability to coordinate resources to help drive larger opportunities to close
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
